Accounting Assistant
Visual Mining, the leading provider of business intelligence dashboard and data visualization solutions, is looking for a smart, hard-working Accounting Assistant to join our team in our Rockville, MD headquarters.
The ideal candidate will be an energetic, self-starter, able to handle day-to-day accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, payroll processing and general accounting and office administration functions.
Key Job Attributes:
- Experience with accounting software required, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains experience a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Associates degree or equivalent experience required
- Must have excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- General accounting knowledge required

Lead Qualification Representative
Visual Mining, the leading provider of business intelligence dashboard and data visualization solutions, is looking for a smart, articulate, and energetic Lead Qualification Representative to join our team in our Rockville, MD headquarters.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated, self-starter and extremely detailed oriented. The candidate will be able to manage multiple projects, contribute ideas, and won't hesitate to get involved, roll-up their sleeves and do whatever it takes to get things done!
General Description of Role:
Under the supervision of the VP, Marketing, with accountability to the sales organization and the entire Visual Mining team, this person will diligently, thoroughly, and accurately work in two primary ways:
- Qualify inbound leads into and thru the lead qualification process. Visual Mining generates leads from a variety of sources including but not limited to: online (both ad campaigns and natural search), shows/events and direct marketing campaigns. This position will reach out to every incoming lead and probe to understand the problem the prospect is trying to solve, and arrange conference calls and follow-up activities.
- Proactively prospect via phone, email, and conference calls. Develop prospect sources for outbound prospecting calls and reference/ referral building. When not working on inbound leads, or campaigns, this person will develop prospecting sources and call into accounts to introduce Visual Mining products and solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Enthusiastically and energetically work to contact and every incoming lead on a daily basis
- Prospect and develop new lead sources and prospect pools
- Meet and exceeding monthly quotas
- Qualify leads by probing for type of business and specific need
- Set appointments for sales and partner teams; working collaboratively to win new business
- Actively track, manage and report on lead pipeline via salesforce.com
- Participate in team meetings, networking, tradeshow events, and activities to grow the business
- Passionately support Visual Mining’s commitment to create an outstanding experience for our prospects and customers
- Develop knowledge of Visual Mining products and solutions
Key Job Attributes:
Excellent communication skills; proficiency in MS Office, and a quick learner, plus:
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum of one year experience in software telemarketing/telesales
- Demonstrated record of meeting or beating goals and
- Organized, detail-oriented individual capable of meeting daily deadlines
- Self-discipline to drive high volumes of inbound and outbound call activity
- Experience with salesforce.com is a plus
- High energy, results oriented, team player who performs well independently

Job Duties:
- High volume calling
- Must have technical and/or product knowledge
- Focus on qualifying inquiries and/or generating leads through outbound calling efforts
- Responsible for initial stages of sales cycle: account research, account mapping, interest development, preliminary needs analysis
- Collect rudimentary prospect information
- Have business enabling conversations with prospects
- Focus on adding well qualified prospects to the sales pipeline
- Nurtures those leads that are not yet ready to engage in the sales process
