These are the release notes for NetCharts Server 7.2.x. They describe software and documentation changes of particular interest for users, developers and Administrators updating from earlier versions of NetCharts Server.

Title Description
Upgraded Embedded Tomcat Engine NetCharts Server 7.2 upgrades the customized embedded Apache Tomcat engine to version 7.0.76.
Java Runtime Updates NetCharts Server 7.2 includes Oracle Java version 1.8.0_121.
Console Interface and Security Updates The NetCharts Server Admin Console and Development Console have been redesigned to resolve security reports and for better access by browsers from a wider set of platforms.
Modification NetCharts Server Development Console Access NetCharts Server 7.2 has access controls on the NetCharts Server Development Console enabled by default. A new user, DevAdmin, with the password DevAdmin, exists with permissions to access the Development Console. Note: Users who import settings from older versions during installation are advised to verify that access controls are enabled after installation.
Deprecation NetCharts Server Development Console NetCharts Server 7.2 removes all template creation and wizard based editing functions. Only the file editor remains to edit existing content. Developers should use NetCharts Designer, the associated IDE for all NetCharts Server project development.
Modification Restart Functionality NetCharts Server 7.2 replaces the Applet based Restart function to allow Administrators the ability to restart NetCharts Server via the Admin Console.
Enhancement Scheduled Task Names NetCharts Server 7.2 allows for Scheduled Tasks to have unique names. For existing Scheduled Tasks without names, the URL will be used as the name.
Modification Data Cache Initialization Time When the NetCharts Server Data Cache is purges, the initialization time will be reset.
MySQL JDBC Driver Update The MySQL JDBC driver included with NetCharts Server 7.2 is MySQL Connector version 5.1.41.
Modification SVG Drilldown Improvement When hovering over a drillable area in an SVG chart, the cursor will change to the hand cursor to inform the user that the area can be clicked.
